Premiere of Life On The Deben - A Film By Tim Curtis

We are delighted to be hosting the premier of a new film ‘Life On The Deben’, from the creators of the very successful John MacCarthy's Woodbridge, which we screened here to a packed audience in 2013.

The film has wonderful scenes of our very own river Deben and surrounding countryside. It takes us on a journey, from the secret and disputed upper reaches near Debenham to the boatyards and bustle of Woodbridge down to the sea at Bawdsey and Felixstowe Ferry.

Author & journalist John McCarthy and Woodbridge based film-maker Tim Curtis embark on a journey into the Deben's rich past, looking at its geography, environment and the influence the river has had over the people who have lived by its banks.

The film has been two years in the making and traces the entire length of the Deben, featuring wildlife and conservation, daily life past and present, boat building, sailing, farming, fishing, milling and even smuggling.

You can book now for this very special film here Sunday 3rd December 3pm. We have added an extra performance on Sunday 10th December - 6pm click on link above to book tickets.
